I’ve been thinking about gettin’ on the blog bandwagon for a while now, but haven’t known what to write about. I honestly don’t think anyone would enjoy reading about my life. Unless, of course, you were looking for something to help you fall asleep. I know of a pill that works much better, though. Anyway . . .
I just couldn’t think about what to say, until the other day when a friend affectionately called me Marvina Zindler. If you don’t know already, I’m a walking health department report. I keep up with what restaurants are clean--and which ones are not. Then it hit me—why not write restaurant reviews? If you’ve seen me, it’s obvious I like to eat! This new blogger role fits me like a glove.
I’ll be posting reviews of Montgomery County restaurants which will include locally-owned establishments and chain restaurants. I’m still working out the details, but hopefully I will have my first review posted soon, so be sure to check back soon.
Maybe your efforts will morph into a Texas version of Garlic and Sapphires, Ruth Reichl's book about being a food critic in disguise. Have fun!

Another Bloody Blogger...
ReplyDeleteGood Luck, I'll stayed tuned, lord knows I love food too!
welcome!
ReplyDeleteI think your blog should also include famous misspellings on the menu. You could have a field day at Mexican restaurants and Chinese buffet establishments. ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your postings my dear Marvina. I'll work on getting you some outrageous sunglasses and a white suite.
I see how it is.
ReplyDeleteI meet the legendary Bushwick Bill, take photos, and write a whole recap of the night in my blog and get zero comments.
You toss up a single paragraph about what you're GOING to write sometime in the FUTURE and you get four comments.
Perhaps people just like food more than hiphop.
What a grand idea! I have always said that you are the reason that I haven't had food poisoning yet. Visiting Chewing and Reviewing will be a part of my repertoire. Thank you Marvina!
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate that you guys won the Montgomery County Food Basket at the Hydrate Hope Event. I am glad we could in some small way help your quest in chewing and reviewing.
